Skal holds felicitation programme

Skal International (Goa), a worldwide network of professionals promoting global tourism and friendship, held a felicitation programme for the children of the members, who excelled in academics.
The felicitation was held at the 5th Skal annual general body meeting where Skal national president Mario Sequeira administered the oath of office to incoming Skal president Menino Proenca.
The chief guest Dy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza put the pin on incoming Skal president Menino Proenca and outgoing president Charles Bonifacio put the presidential collar.
The outgoing president Charles Bonifacio welcomed the gathering and spoke on the vision statement of Skal.
The chief guest Francis D’Souza in his address extolled the Skal to carry on their good deeds with gusto. He also spoke about organ donation which he said needs to be given prominence.
Incoming president, Menino in his speech spoke about the work being undertaken by Skal in helping the poor, needy and underprivileged, and promised to take Skal to greater heights.
Hotels and travel agents who won national and international awards were felicitated by the outgoing president Charles Bonifacio. Reshma Alves proposed a vote of gratitude.
The Skal executive committee also includes Atool Mulgaonkar, Shekhar Diwadkar, Ernest Dias, Guitry Velho, Babu Quenim, Glaffy Castellino, Ashraf Nizari, Reshma Alves, and Jack Sukhija.
