All brand promotion case: one booked for sim card fraud

Panaji police has registered an FIR against Ismail Khan on charges of fraudulently using documents of a person from Vasco to obtain a mobile sim card. Khan is one of the accused in the all brand promotion fraud which is currently being probed by the Economic Offences Cell of the Goa police.
A complaint in this regard was lodged by Gurunath Madar from Vasco.
Referring to the complaint, police said that the accused Khan obtained a copy of the aadhar card and voter ID card of the complainant while entering into a business transaction and fraudulently used the same in obtaining a mobile sim card in the name of the complainant by forging the signature on the customer application form. Police said that Madar was among one of the investors in the advertising scheme of all brand promotion
firm.
According to the EOC all brand promotion firm duped around 500 investors to the tune of over Rs 1.5 crore. The EOC probe in the case had revealed that the accused in the all brand promotion fraud had obtained 6 different mobile sim cards, 4 of them using his fake identity proof while 2 using the identity proofs of two different persons (one from Goa), police had said.
The EOC probe had revealed that Muzzabil Alam Tajdar had posed himself as Sameer Veerani whereas another accused Shabab Ismail Khan claimed to be Imran. Police had issued a look out notices against the accused at police stations across the country including the airports. There are two more accused Rahul Singh and Amir Alam Shaik whose identity is yet to be ascertained.
