The mother and sister of Blaze (Sanito) Alvares, Sharon’s husband, have already reached Swindon. Sharon was in a critical state due to inhalation of smoke following the fire incident.

The police in Swindon and the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Services are yet to determine the cause of fire.
Blaze was supposed to come down to Goa in December to attend the wedding ceremony of his sister. According to the family members of Blaze in Bogmalo, they are planning to bring the mortal remains of Sharon to Goa for the final rites. However there is uncertainty, as the parents of Sharon and Blaze are in Swindon.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the Swindon fire tragedy has gone up to three. Earlier, two persons of another family, which was occupying the ground floor flat, had succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment in a hospital.
