The Minister for Ayush Shripad Naik said that art is a wealth in human life and besides studying, parents should encourage their children by giving them freedom to perceive their skills of choice as a hobby. The Minister was speaking on the occasion of Children’s Day after presenting the 13th Gomant Bal Bhushan awards 2015 to the recipients at a function held at Bal Bhavan Panaji on Monday.
On the occasion Union Minister for Ayush Shripad Naik extended his greetings to the children.
Chairperson of Bal Bhavan Goa Kunda Chodankar, vice chairman of Bal Bhavan, Ravindra Amonkar, director of Bal Bhavan, Santosh Amonkar, board member of Bal Bhavan, Hemant Goltekar, programme officer Bal Bhavan, Shashikant Punaji were present for the function.
The Minister for Ayush Shripad Naik congratulated all the awardees and said that by conducting various activities for children like music, dance, drama etc., Bal Bhavan plays an important role in moulding children and making them progressive with versatile personality.
The category winners for the 13th Gomant Bal Bhushan awards 2015 are Vaishnavi Joshi, creative performance (theatre), Savi Marathe, creative performance (theatre), Gurudatta Kulkarni, creative performance (vocal music), Shruti Parulekar, creative writing (prose), Prabhav Gaonkar, creative art (sculpture), Prajkta Natu, performing art (instrumental music flute) etc.
The Bal Bhavan chairperson Kunda Chodankar welcomed, Bal Bhavan vice chairperson Ravindra Amonkar proposed the vote of thanks while Ambika Pednekar compered the function.
