Eminent educationist and former principal of Murgao Education Society’s (MES) College of Arts and Commerce Prof Madhav Kamat has said that writers can play a key role in nation building and bringing about peace in the world.
He was speaking as a chief guest at a book release function. The book ‘The Hidden Power’ has been written by Manali Naik, a 14-year-old student of St Joseph’s Institute Vasco. The function was held at Ravindra Bhavan, Baina recently and the same was attended by teacher of St Joseph’s Institute Vasco Lenina Fernandes and others. Prof Kamat praised the young writer Manali and said that she has succeeded in her effort to convey that every person has a hidden power in him and it has to be awakened.
‘The Hidden Power’ is a second book of Manali. She had written her first book ‘The Tremendous Three’ at the age of 9. Apart from writing books, Manali also nurtures hobbies like painting, playing chess, dancing and singing. She has won many awards and trophies at state level and national level in various skills and also in her school curriculum.
