Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and BJP government in Goa led by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar have delivered on clean governance to the people in the last 2 years and 4 years respectively.
He further said that the BJP-led government in Goa is one of the cleanliest and most efficient governments in the country.
Rijiju was addressing the BJP workers on Friday at communidade hall, Mangor Hill in Vasco in view of the BJP government’s 2 years at the Centre.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, Power Minister Milind Naik, Minister for Science and Technology Alina Saldanha, Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida, Sadanand Shet Tanavde besides other party leaders attended the meeting.
Rijiju came down heavily on the erstwhile Congress governments for rampant corruption.
“The things in Goa started changing soon after the BJP-led government came to power, delivering non- corrupt and transparent government,” he said.
He alleged that the Congress party during the last 60 years of its regime in the country played dirty politics, however, the BJP government both at Centre and also in the state of Goa have fulfilled promises made to the people.
He maintained that the BJP has brought revolution in the country on all fronts.
“BJP’s main aim is to make India one of the most powerful counties in the world,” he said, adding today at any world forum, Indian delegation occupies central seats as the people all over the world now wants to hear the views of India. He praised the Prime Minister Modi for his dynamic leadership, which he said has been accepted by the world.
The Deputy Chief Minister listed various achievements of NDA government at the Centre and BJP led government in the state.
He, however, indirectly accused the Aam Admi Party (AAP) of giving false assurances to the people of Goa.
Power Minister Milind Naik, Minister for Science and Technology Alina Saldanha, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar also spoke on the occasion.
