VASCO: Carlos Almeida, who has created history by becoming the first Vasco MLA to get re-elected, has assured to give jobs to unemployed youth in Vasco. He also said that he will lay emphasis on starting developmental projects which are planned and complete those in progress.
Almeida was speaking to media persons in Vasco during a victory rally organised by his supports in association with Vasco Bharatiya Janata Party and Vasco Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha on Saturday evening. Mormugao Municipal Council chairperson Deepak Naik, BJP Vasco president Rajan Dicholkar, BJP South Goa spokesperson Jayant Jadhav, MMC councillors Nandadeep Raut, Yatin Kamurlekar, Fredrick Henriques, Reema Sonurlekar, Vandana Satardekar, Dhanpal Swami, Shridhar Mardolkar besides others were also present.
Speaking further, Almeida said, “Ultra-modern transport hub-cum-administrative building at KTC bus stand at Mundvel, fishing harbour at Khariwada besides de-weeding and beautification of Maimollem lake, swimming pool at Maimollem, construction of commercial project at old power house Baina, construction of fish market at Baina, commercial project at old chief officers bungalow, renovation of Mormugao municipal building, beautification and de-silting work of Sasmollem lake and other projects that will benefit people will be given priority.”
Over 2,000 people participated in the victory rally which was taken out from Shantinagar, covering all the wards and localities in the jurisdiction of Vasco constituency.
