Shiv Sena says coalition govt will not last long

PANAJI: Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP from Maharashtra, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government under the leadership of Manohar Parrikar in the state will not last long, and would collapse at any time.

Addressing the media, Raut, along with Jeevan Kamat, Kishore Raut and Shiv Prasad Joshi, said that the coalition government formed in the state with help of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, Goa Forward Party and Independents will collapse very soon.

He said that Goan voters have rejected the BJP by giving it only 13 seats, and added that the MGP has betrayed the Goan voters by joining hands with the BJP to form the government.

He said that Vijai Sardessai had sought votes against the BJP, and people voted him for that but he joined hands with the BJP to form the government, and added that the people will not forget him in the next election.

He said that even though the Congress secured more seats than any other party in the state, but due to their weaknesses, the BJP formed the government, adding “the Governor Mridula Sinha too misused the office by inviting the BJP to form the government when the Congress was having 17 seats.”

In the next month, Uddhav Thackeray will visit Goa to chalk out a plan to strengthen the party  in the state.

at the grassroots level, he said adding they will be participating in all the elections from panchayat level to Parliament.
