PANAJI: The government has given one weeks’ time to its erring employees for mending their ways vis-à-vis arriving late for work and remaining absent in the office during the duty hours, before it would start taking strict action against such employees.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar admitting that there exists some lethargy in the government departments, said that during next seven-eight days, those indulging in activities like reaching the offices late and disappearing from the offices, should correct their behaviour or face action.
Minister for Water Resources Vinod Palyekar had visited the head office of the department of water resources at Porvorim on March 21 only to find a few employees napping, while some others missing from the office.
Later, show-cause notices were issued to the employees missing during duty hours.
