Assuring proper governance to the common man, Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte on Wednesday said that e-district services will be launched by mid-April after ensuring that the system at the South Goa Collectorate will be put in place.
The minister first visited the district collector’s office and then the office of the deputy collector. He urged the district collector who accompanied him throughout the visit, to print information boards in the Konkani language.
The minister also visited the office of the social welfare department and the tourism department located at the ground floor.
Khaunte said, “To implement the e-district service we first require the system to be in place. We want to see that the North and South Collectorates be digitalised which will cut down on paper work. To put it in action, I have come (to south Goa) to interact with the team,’’ the minister added while replying to a query after the visit.
Meanwhile at the Government complex at Mapusa, the Revenue Minister said, that the government is trying to streamline the system by using digital a locker system.
