CANACONA
AAP’s national general secretary Ashutosh Gupta said that the state BJP appears to be in a state of panic following Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s recent mammoth public meeting in Panaji.
Addressing media in Canacona, Gupta said stated that Kejriwal will visit Goa every month to know and redress grievances of the people.
He said the people in the state have now realised the mistake of bringing BJP to power as it has failed in fulfilling promises and this has given rise to infighting in BJP over non-performance.
He said the state Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar was enraged and reacted sharply after Kejriwal mentioned in his speech about drugs and alike issues afflicting Goa.
But days later, he said, Parsekar’s own minister made a statement that the government was helpless on the drug problem prevailing in Goa. What better things can await the BJP when their Union minister felt that Parsekar himself was inefficient, he alleged.
Gupta said that the time has come for BJP to give up the responsibility of serving the people of Goa as they are inefficient and their failures have been exposed.
He said that AAP would expose the corrupt ministers in the days to come, further noting that they have a system in place to select and finalise candidates to contest elections.
AAP spokesperson Sandesh Talekar, also speaking to media, held BJP responsible for corruption in the state. To tackle it, he said the AAP has formed a special cell to expose corrupt practices in government offices.
Talekar also alleged that the BJP government was corrupt at the highest level. Corruption is happening from top to bottom and that has been the practice, he alleged, adding, AAP has come to keep a check on the malpractice by constituting the cell.
He said AAP will regularly come before the press to expose corruption. He also praised a woman, who came forward and complained about the demand for bribe to issue a certificate.
