MAPUSA: Police arrested a 32-year-old Ektanagar resident for allegedly molesting a minor girl on the terrace of a building where the minor was residing.
According to police, the mother of the nine-year-old lodged a complaint against Shailesh Sehsvankar for allegedly abusing and molesting her daughter.
The incident took place on Saturday evening at around 4.30 pm when the minor had gone on the terrace to remove clothes. The alleged accused was present on the terrace and allegedly molested her.
Later in the evening when her mother returned from work the minor narrated the incident. Subsequently the mother approached the owner of the house who was located in the neighbouring building to take action. Since the owner did not take any action she approached the Mapusa police.
Acting on the complaint, police registered an offence under Section 354, 354A, Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and Section 8 of POSCO and arrested the alleged accused.
