PONDA: Vithal Karanzwadkar (35) a resident of Bhasker Apartment, Dhavali Ponda and native of Sangli Maharashtra died in an accident which occurred at around 2 pm on Sunday near Bajaj Showroom, Dhavali bye-pass road.
As per information received, Karanzwadkar was proceeding towards his residence from Farmagudi on his two-wheeler bearing number GA- 05-E-9501 which collided with a truck bearing number MH-50- 4747 which was travelling towards Farmagudi. Karanzwadkar was severely injured and died on the spot. He was working as officer in Cipla Company.
Ponda police arrested the truck driver Chotelal Shivkumar Ram (35) a resident of Lanja Ratnagiri. The body has been sent to GMC for autopsy. Ponda PSI Yogesh Mandrekar is investigating the case.
