BICHOLIM: Bharatiya Janata Party women leader Kunda Chodankar has called upon youth to contribute towards nation-building. She also claimed that the party has been successful in maintaining a clean image and taking benefits of welfare schemes to villages.
Chodankar was speaking after inaugurating the Mayem constituency BJP mahila and youth meet at Mayem recently.
Speaker of state assembly Anant Shet, Yuva BJP president Sharmad Raiturkar, North Goa Zilla panchayat chairperson Ankita Navelkar, sarpanch Neha Tahnekar, mahila president Veena Chodankar, Ladko Kinalkat and Niteen Gaddi were present on the dais.
Shet said that the development of the country and the state relies on sincere efforts by citizens, especially youth who are the future pillars of the nation. He urged the Goan youth to participate in political and social activities in order to achieve overall development of the state. Sharmad Raiturkar also spoke on the occasion. BJP Yuva Mahila and Youth committees were elected during the meet.
