PANAJI: The Info Tech Corporation of Goa (ITG) Ltd has through a Letter of Intent entrusted the task of carrying out transaction advisory services for the development of Information Technology (IT)/ Information Technology-Enabled Services (ITES) Park, and Electronic Manufacturing Clusters (EMC) in the state of Goa, to the consultant M/s Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants (India) Pvt Ltd.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the director of information technology Ameya Abhyankar, which further informs that an agreement was executed with the consultant firm by the ITG on March 1, 2016.
The agreement has been inked in view of the setting up of an IT Park in an area admeasuring 2,69,890 sq mts at Chimbel in Tiswadi taluka, and setting up of an Electronic City at Tuem in Pernem taluka. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the Electronic City project, in August, later this year.
The notification also informs that the stages of work to be completed by the consultant firm includes submission of the final Detailed Techno Feasibility Report of the project with recommendations of suitable modeling to ITG within 60 days; submission of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Study, preparation of contour plan, geotechnical soil investigations, if required and any other relevant study to ITG within 100 days; submission of the final Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the project to ITG within 120 days; and submission of the final bidding documents to ITG within 150 days.
An 8-member empowered committee headed by the Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has also been constituted to monitor these timelines, and to give timely decisions to the consultant firm. The committee members will meet on timely basis to give necessary inputs, suggestions, approvals, etc, on the reports, plans and so on, as prepared by the consultant firm before finalising the same.
