WRD Minister Dayanand Mandrekar has expressed concern over rising negative mindset towards development with various sections opposing proposed projects.
Mandrekar was speaking as a chief guest on Sunday after inaugurating the Bicholim river protection wall and a walking track along the river bank.
He unveiled the plaque and cut the ribbon to mark the inauguration of the work. The project has been completed at the cost of around Rs 2 crore.

Mandrekar informed that WRD has undertaken various development works in all constituencies.
He said, “The environmentalists are opposing beneficial projects without a proper study. The opposition is only for the sake of opposition. This attitude should be given up for welfare of the state.”
The government has a desire to develop Goa on Gujarat lines and Bicholim walking track is an example of it, the minister said.
MLA Sawal said that it is not the question of taking credit for any project what is important is development of the constituency.
Sawal appreciated the cooperation he sought from WRD minister and department officers for development of the constituency.
