VALPOI: Motorists were put to great inconvenience as the highway connecting Valpoi to Honda witnessed water-logging due to the heavy rains. “The water-logging occurs because of the flowing down of silt from the nearby areas,”said a resident of Valpoi.
However, no authorities have tried to act but they point fingers at each other, he added.
The highway witnessed water-logging and major traffic congestions during the heavy rains. “The concerned authorities should identify the reason for water-logging near Dildar Khan House, hospital and Civil Court building, and set the things right,” said Akram Shaik. The residents have urged the PWD and municipality to immediately inspect the site, and find a solution to the regular water-logging problem. NT
