BICHOLIM: Chairman of Dempo Group of Companies Shrinivas Dempo has said that economic growth and social development should go hand in hand for ensuring all-round development of the state.
Dempo was speaking on Monday as chief guest at the function held to inaugurate two advanced laboratories of Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Bicholim. Director of Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd Delima, officer A V Ajay, chairman of the saunstha Vijay Sardessai, ex-MLA Rajesh Patnekar and other members were present on the dais.
Dempo unveiled the plaque to mark the inauguration and later lit the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Dempo said that students should contribute towards welfare of society after completing their education and assured fullest cooperation to educational institutions.
The two laboratories sponsored by Dempo Group of Companies and ACGL are worth around Rs 22 lakh, it was informed. Delima applauded the task undertaken by the institute and congratulated the directors of the saunstha on the occasion. Earlier, chairman of the saunstha Vijay Sardessai welcomed the guests and delivered introductory speech. Principal Santosh Chanekar proposed the vote of thanks.
