PANAJI: The implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission for the state government employees, in the month of December 2016 could be the last major decision of this government.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday informed that the entire exercise for the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission has been completed, and the related proposal would most probably be placed before the state cabinet, during its next meeting.
“After the cabinet nod, related notification would be issued,” he added.
The government is desirous of implementing the pay commission before the election code of conduct comes into force, in view of the forthcoming state assembly election.
The Goa Government Employees Association has already warned the government of a massive march on the Secretariat on December 7, in support of its demand to implement the Seventh Pay Commission immediately.
