The first portfolios to the newly appointed ministers in the state cabinet led by Manohar Parrikar are likely to be allotment in a couple of days.
Chief Minister Parrikar Friday said that since Governor Mridula Sinha is travelling out of state, the allotment of portfolios to the ministers has been delayed. However, once she signs the notification, they will get the same, he said.
The state cabinet presently has nine ministers including Ramakrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar of MGP, Vijai Sardesai of Goa Forward, Francis D’Souza of BJP, Manohar Azgaonkar of MGP, Rohan Khaunte (Independent), Pandurang Madkaikar of BJP, Govind Gaude (Independent), Vinod Palyenkar and Jayesh Salgaokar of Goa Forward.
Meanwhile, all the ministers Friday took charge of their cabins in the Secretariat after attending the first cabinet meeting.
