PANAJI: Two-time Valpoi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Satyavijay Naik has said that the decision of the party of inducting former Congress MLA Vishwajeet Rane has been accepted by all the party workers from the constituency.
Naik has lost assembly elections to Rane in 2012 and 2017.
“All the workers have agreed to the decision in the interest of the party,” he said while talking to this reporter after the induction of Rane and his supporters into BJP on Thursday.
He also assured that all the party workers including him will work for Rane in the forthcoming by-poll, to be held in Valpoi, adding he does not feel that his political career has been come to an end due to entry of Rane into the BJP and he will continue his work of strengthening the party organisation.
Naik further maintained that there are plenty of opportunities including the party organisation, to work in public life, pointing out that becoming MLA is not the only medium to work for the welfare of people.
