The director of Urban Development Elvis Gomes expressed his heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the department of Urban Development, to the family members of late Ashlesha Naik, councillor, Margao Municipal Council on her sudden demise under tragic circumstances.
“She has served humanity till her last breath. From what I have known about her, she was never partisan and had a great desire to serve people. She was known to be a straight forward
person and has left behind memories as a woman who placed the lives of others above her.
May God grant her eternal rest. Margao
Municipal Council should decide on keeping her legacy alive by
instituting an award in her name or even starting a programme in her name” said Gomes.
