PANAJI: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), on Thursday, stated that the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre is yet to make its stand clear on issues like construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya, cow slaughter, providing justice to Hindus from Kashmir, and most importantly establishment of a Hindu Nation, in spite of the BJP being a Hindu fundamentalist party.

Coming out with this statement, the national guide to the HJS, Dr Charudatta Pingale said that the Samiti and other Hindu organisations in the country would continue the efforts to get their demands fulfilled.

“Change in the government does not necessarily bring in Parivartan or transition in the system,” he observed, stating that the Samiti would constantly maintain public pressure on the central government to achieve its objectives.

Dr Pingale further announced that the HJS will organise its fifth all India Hindu conclave, at Ramnathi, in Ponda taluka, from June 19 to June 25. The 7-day long event will discuss the issue as regards establishment of Hindu Nation during the first 4 days, among other things, while holding training sessions for members of the Samiti on various issues like taking up agitations in a legitimate manner, using the Right to Information Act in an effective way and so on.

More than 400 officials of around 161 national and international Hindu organisations from India and other countries like Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will attend the event and participate in deliberations.

Speaking further, Dr Pingale said that the HJS will intensify its agitation in support of the establishment of Hindu Nation from 2018 onwards. He also observed that Hindu Nation is a spiritual concept.

Replying to a question, Dr Pingale said that the HJS has, from time to time sent memorandums to the President and the Prime Minister about their demands, besides forwarding e-mails to the concerned Union ministries about various events undertaken by the Samiti.

Answering to another question, the national guide to the HJS said that the weakness on the part of the central government has resulted in uneven implementation of the beef ban, all over the country.

The spokesperson of Sanatan Saunstha, Chetan Rajhans, speaking on the occasion said that implicating Sanatan Saunstha members in various acts of violence is a political conspiracy. “The investigating agencies have failed to produce evidences as well as filing charge-sheets against our members, who are simply detained for over eight months now,” he added.
