Two accused pimps, Raju Maidali native of Assam and Rajeshwar Pawar, native of Maharashtra were arrested by the Crime Branch police in connection with a prostitution racket. The duo has been remanded to 4-day police custody.
Both the accused were arrested after police busted a prostitution racket in which five girls were rescued on Friday night.
The accused were produced before a court and have been remanded to 4-day police custody. The victim girls have been lodged at state run protective home, Merces. The girls are in the age group of 19 to 27 years and are from Noida, Delhi, Karnataka, Mumbai and West Bengal, informed police.
Based on the source information police had laid a trap and after sending a decoy customer, the raid was conducted. The accused had come to deliver the girls at a designated location in North Goa.
