The state government on Wednesday issued an order enforcing major reshuffling of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, who are holding positions of secretaries with Amey Abhyankar removed as special secretary to Chief Minister and Ashok Kumar appointed as secretary to Chief Minister.
As per the order issued by the Personnel department, the Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma has retained PWD, Transport, Vigilance, Home, Personnel and Tourism while Dr Ranbir Singh has been given charge of Education, WRD and Housing along with his earlier Forest, Environment, Science and Technology, GAD and additional charge as principal secretary to Governor.
Padmini Singh has retained the charge of Co-operation, NRI Affairs, Public Grievances, Official Language, Labour and Employment, Member Secretary, Goa State Commission for Backward Classes and Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
Sanjay Goel has been given charge of Panchayat, Rural Development Agency and Civil Aviation and nodal officer for ODF and Swatch Bharat Mission with his earlier Power and Non-conventional Energy department.
Daulat Hawaldar also retained his Finance
Planning Statistics and Evaluation, Art and Culture, Information and Publicity, Archives, Archeology and Museums and given additional charge of department of Women and Child Development, Social Welfare and Institute of Public Assistance and Provedoria.
P S Reddy has been allotted Administrative Reforms, Factories and Boilers, Tribal Welfare, Gazetteer, Printing and Stationery, Legal Metrology and Handicraft, Textiles and Coir departments.
Sudhir Mahajan has retained his Health, Revenue, Urban Development, Industries, Trade and Commerce and Law, Judiciary and Legislative Affairs portfolios.
B R Singh has been allotted Town and Country Planning, Housing besides his earlier Civil Supplies, Sports and Youth Affairs, Protocol, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
Amey Abhyankar has retained his four departments out of six which includes Information and Technology, Special Secretary (Finance Budget), Director (PPP Cell) and Chief Executive Officer, Entertainment Society of Goa.
Govind Jaiswal has been allotted Fisheries, Special Secretary (Vigilance), Craftsman Training and Skill Development and retained Ports and River Navigation.
Ashok Kumar has been appointed as secretary to Chief Minister with additional charge of Director of Municipal Administration and Member Secretary, GSUDA whereas IAS officer Padmini Singla is on child care leave.
